The King & I in Concert

October 17 - 18, 2009

National Asian Artists Project (NAAP) is proud to join with Oconee Performing Arts Society (OPAS) in presenting a semi-staged concert production of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s The King and I. Conducting the illustrious Atlanta Pops Orchestra will be Maestro Kevin Farrell and directing the production will be nationally recognized director/choreographer Baayork Lee. The cast will feature prominent actors from both New York and Atlanta, and a large ensemble of children to delight audiences young and old. This classic tale of a Siamese king and his new English school teacher is filled with some of the most sumptuous music in musical theater history, featuring many classic songs like "Shall We Dance", "Hello Young Lovers", "We Kiss in a Shadow", and "Something Wonderful". Come experience this special musical event like no other.
